Righteousness Consciousness — Part 6

Righteousness Consciousness — Part 6

**Living in the Spirit** **: Partaking in God's Nature**

---

**The Foundation: What It Means to Partake**

When a man's divinity is restored in Christ, something profound has taken place. He has not merely been forgiven — he has become a partaker of God's own nature. As declared in *2 Peter 1:3–4, God has given us all things that pertain to life and godliness, and through His exceeding great and precious promises, we become partakers of the divine nature.*

This is the foundation of the new creation life. The believer does not simply follow God from a distance — he shares in His life. The divine nature is not something to be attained through discipline or effort. It is already given. What remains is for the believer to become aware of it, align with it, and allow it to flow through his daily living.

---

**The Great Disconnect: Possession Without Experience**

Yet a troubling reality exists in the body of Christ. It is entirely possible for a believer to have the righteousness of God, live a morally upright and separated life, know he is a new creation, be conscious that he is not ordinary, and even carry the indwelling Spirit of God — and still not experience the life of God in any meaningful way.

This is where many believers find themselves. They have the indwelling Spirit. They have the recreated human spirit. They carry the nature of God. And yet they lack the manifestation. They lack the daily experience of that life flowing through them. They are carriers of divine life, but not expressers of it.

The divine nature was never meant to sit dormant. It was deposited to be expressed.

---

**The Missing Link: The Promises of God**

Peter gives us the key. It is *through the promises* that we partake of the divine nature. This is critical to understand. The life of God is already within you — but it is not automatically experienced. It is released into manifestation through the promises of God. His Word is not merely information about life. It is the very channel through which that life flows into daily experience.

This means the experience of God's life is conditional. It is not passive. It is accessed — through knowledge, through faith, and through intentional engagement with what God has said.

---

**Faith: The Access System of the Spirit**

Scripture makes this unmistakably clear: without faith, the promises of God remain unprofitable. Faith is not optional — it is the access system of the Spirit. Grace makes all things available; faith makes all things accessible.

Without faith, the promises remain real but inactive. The inheritance remains yours but unexperienced. A believer can carry everything God has provided and still live far beneath the level of life God intended — simply because faith has not been exercised as the bridge between possession and experience.

---

**Ignorance: The Silent Separator**

Alongside a lack of faith, ignorance operates as a silent but powerful barrier. A believer can be born again, Spirit-filled, and fully positioned in Christ — and still live like an ordinary man. The reason is simple: he does not know what he has. Ignorance does not separate a believer from God, but it separates him from the manifestation of God's life. What you do not know, you cannot access. What you do not access, you cannot express.

---

**The Governing Principle: Seek First the Kingdom**

Before manifestation, there is a divine order. *Seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added unto you* — *Matthew 6:33.* This is not merely a devotional suggestion. It is a law of spiritual priority.

To seek first the kingdom means making God's rule your highest pursuit — valuing spiritual realities above natural outcomes, desiring alignment with God more than results from God. Many believers know the promises, exercise some measure of faith, pray and confess — and yet still struggle with manifestation. The reason is often misplaced priority. They want God's blessings, God's power, and God's results — but not fully God's rule, God's will, and God's order.

When priority is wrong, experience is limited. But when the kingdom becomes first, something shifts. Your desires align with God. Your mind is renewed. Your faith becomes accurate. Your life becomes Spirit-governed. And the things you were straining to obtain begin to flow naturally.

---

**The Role of the Holy Spirit**

The Holy Spirit is the active agent of this entire reality. He does not merely inspire you from a distance — He lives within you. He transforms your desires, aligns your thoughts, and produces divine expressions through your life. He is the life of God in motion within the believer. Every manifestation of the divine nature flows through His activity in the recreated human spirit.

This is why the life of God is expressed when the mind is renewed, when conduct is transformed, and when love reflects Christ. *Romans 12:2. 1 Peter 1:15–16. John 13:34–35.* This is how divinity becomes visible in humanity — not through religious performance, but through the Spirit working from within.

---

**The Tragedy: Beginning in the Spirit, Ending in the Flesh**

Paul confronts a sobering pattern: *Having begun in the Spirit, are you now made perfect by the flesh?* — *Galatians 3:3.* Many believers start well. They encounter the supernatural. They experience the life of God in the early days of their walk. But over time, they drift — back to self-effort, back to natural reasoning, back to ordinary living. They move from Spirit to flesh, from faith to effort, from supernatural to ordinary.

The antidote is not more effort — it is faith. Faith is what keeps a believer living from the Spirit rather than from the flesh. Because faith is of the Spirit. Faith connects you to unseen realities. Faith sustains supernatural living.

---

**The Life Defined**

Paul captures the whole experience in a single verse. *I am crucified with Christ* — the old man is gone. *Nevertheless I live* — a new life has begun. *Yet not I, but Christ lives in me* — the Spirit is the source. *The life I now live in the flesh, I live by faith in the Son of God* — *Galatians 2:20.* Faith is the operating system of this new life. It is not occasional — it is the daily means by which the life of God is expressed through the believer.

---

**The Final Reality**

You are already supernatural. The life of God is already within you. The divine nature has already been imparted. But you only experience that supernatural life when you live by faith in the promises of God.

The blessings will not automatically overtake you simply because you carry the Spirit. You must lay hold of them, believe them, and walk in them. As Jesus declared, *the kingdom of heaven suffers violence, and the violent take it by force* — *Matthew 11:12.* Spiritual realities must be intentionally possessed — not passively assumed.

Do not chase the blessings. Do not pursue the manifestations. Seek first the kingdom. Because when the King truly has your heart, His life flows freely, His nature is expressed visibly, and His blessings follow effortlessly.

The divine life is real within you. The promises reveal it. Faith activates it. The kingdom sustains it. It is not enough to possess the divine nature — you must access it through the promises, activate it by faith, and sustain it by seeking first the kingdom of God.
